DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL BOOKTRAKKER V 3.4/3.5
Important: If you install version 3.4/3.5
on Vista or Windows 7 you may get errors:
TROUBLESHOOTING
FOR VISTA/WINDOWS 7 FOR 3.4/3.5
Error Message:
BT 3.4 Run Time Error 339"
Component CIFTP.OCX or one of its dependencies not correctly
registered;
a file is missing or invalid
Component SKCL.dll or one of its dependencies not correctly
registered;
a file is missing or invalid
Can occur when:
Running BookTrakker in Windows 7 after setting BookTrakker to Run as
Administrator for 3.4. You
do not need to set 3.5 to Run as Administrator.
To Fix:
Click Start > Control Panel > System and Security. At
the top, in
Account Control Settings.
Slide the control down to the bottom, for Never Notify.
Restart Windows.
You may need to reinstall BookTrakker.
Installing BookTrakker in XP using INTERNET EXPLORER
Click Start Download, then click Download.
The resulting box asks Do you want to run or save this file?
Select Save.
The Save As box appears with the File name field pre-filled with BT34Setup.
Click Save on the lower right.
A dialog box appears, and the download starts.
At the bottom left is a check box to close the form when download is complete.
Make sure it is NOT checked.
When download is finished click Open Folder. When it opens doubleclick
BT34Setup to install.
After installation is complete and you have restarted your computer, run BookTrakker and do Help > Check for Updates at the top and download/install CheckIt to enable ASIN/ISBN lookup to work.
Installing BookTrakker in Vista using
INTERNET EXPLORER
Click Start Download, then click Download.
The resulting box asks Do you want to run or save this file?
Select Save.
The Save As box appears with the File name field pre-filled with BT34Setup.
Click Save on the lower right.
A dialog box appears, and the download starts.
At the bottom left is a check box to close the form when download is complete.
Make sure it is NOT checked.
When download is finished click Open Folder.
When it opens Right click on BT34Setup, click Run as Administrator
to install BookTrakker.
After installation is complete and you have restarted your computer, run BookTrakker and do Help > Check for Updates at the top and download/install CheckIt to enable ASIN/ISBN lookup to work.
Installing BookTrakker in Windows 7 using

perform the following actions:
Right click the BookTrakker and the Backup/Restore BTPro icons,
select Properties,
select the Compatibility tab, then check "Run this program as an
administrator."
After installation is complete and you have restarted your computer, run
BookTrakker and do Help > Check for Updates at the top and
download/install CheckIt to enable ASIN/ISBN lookup to work.
Installing BookTrakker in XP using FIREFOX
Click Start Download, then click Save File.
A Message box appears stating Download is Complete and you will see
a Downloads Box.
Click on BT34Setup.exe in the Downloads Box
It will download to just below [folder - your name]/Downloads.
To find it, right click on Computer, click Explore.
Click on the + sign
to the left of the top folder just below Desktop on the left side.
This opens up folders below; click the Downloads folder.
Over in the right window you will see BT34Setup.exe, doubleclick
on BT34Setup.exe to install.
After installation is complete and you have restarted your computer, run BookTrakker and do Help > Check for Updates at the top and download/install CheckIt to enable ASIN/ISBN lookup to work.
Installing BookTrakker in Vista using
FIREFOX
Click Start Download, then click Save File.
A Message box appears stating Download is Complete and you will see
a Downloads Box.
Click on BT34Setup.exe in the Downloads Box
It will download to just below [folder - your name]/Downloads.
After download is complete, close the download box, then click on Start, lower
left corner.
Type in BT34Setup.exe in the Search field, press Enter. When the search is
finished you will see the
BT34Setup.exe as a search result. Right click on the filename, select Run As
Administrator.
After installation is complete and you have restarted your computer, run BookTrakker and do Help > Check for Updates at the top and download/install CheckIt to enable ASIN/ISBN lookup to work.
Installing BookTrakker in Windows 7 using
FIREFOX
Click Start Download, then click Save File.

Click Start Download, then click Save File.

Click on Vista.msu in the Downloads Box
It will download to just below [folder - your name]/Downloads.
To find it, right click on Computer, click Explore.
Click on the + sign
to the left of the top folder just below Desktop on the left side.
This opens up folders below; click the Downloads folder.
Over in the right window you will see Vista.msu, doubleclick on Vista.msu
to install.
