What is GrabIt? |
GrabIt is an external program used in conjunction with
BookTrakker to retrieve bibliographical data from the Amazon.com,
Amazon.co.uk or the Amazon.ca database for ISBN and ASIN lookup. GrabIt can also be
used for pricing and repricing.
|

matching and ASIN matching/ASIN searching to add ASIN’s to the
BookTrakker database.

|
GrabIt!
performs four basic operations,
using the Amazon.com database: |
-
ASIN/ISBN/BASIN
Lookup. New records in BookTrakker. May require knowledge
of Templates, Settings, the BookTrakker tab, Formatting,
Comments and Set Prices, if you decide to base your price
on the Amazon database. This is the ONLY operation that
creates new records in BookTrakker.
-
Updating
of the Amazon Open Listings
Report after import into
BookTrakker. This is almost exclusively for the use of new
BookTrakker users who have only been listing on Amazon and
have just imported their Amazon Open Listing report into
BookTrakker, and now want to clean it up.
-
BASIN
and ASIN matching to add
BASIN’s or ASIN’s to the existing BookTrakker records.
You must create a Hit List of applicable records to match
against the Amazon database, then decide what fields you
want to use to generate applicable ASIN/ISBN/BASIN numbers
for each record that you find a matching title for. Or,
you can do this manually,
searching for records one by
one.
-
Repricing
of one or more prices in
BookTrakker. Repricing requires knowledge of the Set
Prices tab as well as understanding how to create and run
Hit Lists.
